Every product page has an "Ingredients & allergens" tab listing the 29 allergens designated under Japanese law. Nutrition information is shown for some items, such as baked sweets and gift boxes. If anything is unclear, please email us at info@clementine.co.jp before you order.

Some of our cakes contain liqueur. This is stated in the ingredients on each product page. If you are buying for a small child or someone who is pregnant and have any concerns, please email info@clementine.co.jp.

It depends on the item. Fresh cakes should be eaten the same day; semi-baked and baked sweets have the date printed on the box. For shipped items the date is printed on the outer box, counted from the dispatch date. See the "Details" tab on each product page.

Fresh cakes need refrigeration. Shipped items arrive frozen, with thawing instructions on the product page. Baked sweets keep at room temperature. Storage details are on the "Details" tab of each product page.

Choose your items, then select a store and a collection date. On the day, come in any time during opening hours. Payment is made in store.

You can choose the date. The earliest available date varies by item. There is no need to pick a time — come whenever suits you during opening hours that day.

We ship selected items anywhere in Japan. Domestic delivery only. Items that can be shipped offer "Shipping" as an option on the product page.

It depends on the destination prefecture. The product page and your cart show the delivery charge and an estimated total.

Yes — any date from the earliest available for your area. Time slots are morning, 14:00–16:00, 16:00–18:00, 18:00–20:00 and 19:00–21:00. Delivery may fall slightly outside your chosen slot depending on when you order and where you live.

Depending on the item, orders arrive frozen, chilled or at room temperature — this is stated on each product page. Chilled and frozen deliveries carry an additional cool-delivery charge, which varies by destination and box size and is included in your cart total. Thawing and storage instructions are on the product page and in the leaflet enclosed with your order.

We are unable to deliver to some remote islands and a few other areas. When you enter your address at checkout, the delivery charge and earliest delivery date appear; addresses we cannot reach cannot be selected.

For store collection you can pay in store (cash or cashless) or pay by card in advance. Shipped orders are paid by card in advance. We accept VISA, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and Diners Club (single payment only).

For shipped orders paid by card, you can download a receipt yourself from the order confirmation email or from "Order history" in My Page. You can set the name and the description, and it meets Japan's qualified-invoice requirements. For orders collected in store, we hand you a receipt at the counter. A delivery note is not enclosed with the parcel — you can view it in My Page.

Please email info@clementine.co.jp. We will reply by email to confirm the change or cancellation, so you have it in writing. Shipped orders cannot be changed or cancelled once they have been dispatched. Full details appear under "A note from the store" when you order.

As these are fresh foods, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If an item arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, email info@clementine.co.jp as soon as it arrives and we will send a replacement straight away.

Yes, noshi paper is free and we can add a name. Write your request in the "Message to the store" box in your cart. For the different noshi wordings, see Gifts in our guide.

Gift orders arrive wrapped in La Clémentine's own paper, and we include carrier bags for sharing the contents out. See the Gifts page for details.

We are happy to enclose a card or letter you have prepared yourself. Just let us know when you order.
